小作文 - Reading Report for “WUTHERING HEIGHTS”
前言
笔者最近在整理各种文件时，无意中又打开了本科时期的留下的文件夹，在其中，我看到了一些曾经写过的一些小文章，怀念的感觉不禁油然而生。虽然此时回望，这些小文章无不体现了本人拙劣的写作水平，某些文章更是处处透露出应付差事的目的，但是无论如何，他们也算是承载了我的小小一段青春时光，于是，与其让其尘封在硬盘里，最终烟消云散，不如将其记录于此，供未来的自己回看消遣。
话说在前，这些文字于本人也是某种程度的黑历史，因此对于懂得写作的人恐怕更是难以入眼，如果此文不幸被写作大佬看到，还请多多包涵，如果可以，尽量关闭页面，连看也别看的好……
言归正传，这一篇是本人在大一第二学期写的，是《英语泛读II》这门课的一次作业。从题目来看，仿佛当年我是想写《呼啸山庄》的读后感的，然而现在回看，写的实在是难以入眼，也难怪教授给了很一般的成绩，没什么话可以说。现在想来，当时应该连专四和托福词汇都没背，怕是原文都没怎么读明白，就硬写了一篇凑数，其中甚至还有文档对齐和单复数的问题，这里也不改了，就丑陋地放在这里，作为纪念了。
当年的我没读明白这本书，参考各种书评贴，也被带着对这篇作品硬吹，然而时隔多年，在自己也读过好几遍后，如果让现在的我再评价《呼啸山庄》这本书，我会说：它在叙事形式以及文字技巧的运用层面，是一部当之无愧的不朽的文学作品，然而作品角色展现出的将爱情当成信仰的价值观，本人实在是难以苟同：为了童年的创伤以及成年后未得的爱情，将自己的一生都用于复仇，怎么看也怪怪的。这里刻薄的说句风凉话，作者艾米莉勃朗特本人都没谈过恋爱，她写出来的爱情作品又能真的多动人心弦呢？
当然了，抛去作品的写实性，单这篇作品的文学性就值得上万字的分析，本文就简单的说两句，以后没准有机会我会写一篇稍微严肃一点点的分析吧。这里就随便扯两句图个乐。
Reading Report for “WUTHERING HEIGHTS”
“Wuthering Heights” is an English novel written by Emily Bronte.It tells stories among 3 generations.
The story begins with one day that Mr.Earnshaw, the owner of the Wuthering Heignts,brought back an orphan and named him “Heathcliff”.After years of living with the Earnshaw family ,he fell in love with Mr.Earnshaw’s daughter-Catherine Earnshaw.They were much alike in their souls.However ,Hindley ,son of Mr.Earnshaw, hated Heathcilff ,so after his father’s death ,he deprived Heathcliff of chance to education and forced Heathcliff to do servants’ work.But Heathcliff could still stand for that. What made things worse was that Catherine married to Edgar Linton,and that made Heathcliff despair, so he took up his revenge road.
After reading this book ,you will find yourself surrounded and deeply attracted by those people in the story.Heathcliff can be said to be a very cruel,brutal,and merciless man,to achieve his goal ,he won’t hesitate torturing ,beating and even killing .However ,under his terrible mantle ,there is always a heart chasing for true love ,no matter how painful the love will be.Catherine is a charming character, she is just like a flame:enthusiastic, warming but hurting and hard to control, she is very pretty and wants to be elegant,but still , the desire for freedom and the wish to have no restraint are deeply buried in her soul .Besides these main characters,other people like the maid and the story teller Nelly, the old servant Joseph,and even the bystander Mr.Lockwood, have their unique personalities. It are their characters that made the story more attractive.
I think this novel is worth reading again and again, it shows that life is just something of a paradox.Love always have contradiction with the reality ,however ,to some extent, love is more important.Just like what Heathcliff said in the book:I cannot live without my life. I cannot live without my soul.Maybe love is just life itself.
